Common houseplants can dramatically improve interior air quality.
At today’s workshop, Lauren Matusko, certified Feng Shui consultant, will demonstrate how to select and arrange plants to create miniature indoor eco-systems, scientifically proven to help cleanse and humidify the air we breathe.
NASA has conducted extensive research to find viable solutions for space station living. This research has provided us with a list of houseplants that they have rated based on
- their ability to remove various toxins from indoor environments
- amount of humidity created in the process and
- ease of care for the plants.
We can take advantage of NASA’s groundbreaking work to improve the less than optimal living conditions created by energy conservation methods that seal up our buildings, limiting air circulation and exchange.
